A one-day journey alongside the Hot Shivers team and coach Andrea Gilardi during the Spring Cup, capturing the emotions, tension, and expectations experienced throughout the competition. This is a window into a stunning discipline, where art, grace, and the fusion of music, speed, skill, and perfect harmony make synchronized skating a truly unique spectacle. If I fall, I rise again is not just the title of the documentary, it embodies the spirit with which the athletes face each day of training and competition. It expresses the strength and trust that every skater must find within herself and in her teammates, a true team effort, the result of long preparation and hard work.
Director’s Notes:
Once I discovered this sport—less well-known than individual or pair disciplines—I wanted to highlight an often overlooked but essential aspect: the strong team spirit that drives it. To emphasize this, I chose not to associate the athletes’ voices with specific faces. Their testimonies—full of emotions, sacrifices, hopes, and disappointments—merge into a single collective voice. The focus is not on individual stories, but on a shared experience that reflects the group as a whole.
