Why is a movie displayed as “Sold Out”?

The films of the selection are limited to 500 seats. With the Festival exceptionally taking place online this year, we have decided – as is usually the case in this kind of diffusion – to protect the films and their future careers and lives (in other festivals or theatrical release). It was agreed with the right holders to recreate the screening conditions of a Festival taking place on location, and thus to limit the amount of views to 500. This limitation should allow the films, mostly screened in world premieres, to continue to live and be screened nationally as well as internationally.

Why are the films only available in Italy?

With the Festival exceptionally taking place online this year, the right holders have given us the authorization to screen their film with territory restriction, according to their distribution plan, and their aspirations for the film’s future life. It is of the utmost importance for us to respect this.
