Women of Peace: a Journey into the War

Synopsis:

The film follows Israeli and Palestinian women who choose to work together toward a long-term solution – at a time when promoting peace is often seen as an act of betrayal. Through their eyes, the film reveals the personal price of their choices and the often invisible toll that war takes on women’s lives

Director’s Notes:

As a mother of two and a feminist, the war in Gaza has shaken me to my core. Women’s voices and feminist gains feel erased. Women are pushed back into traditional roles – caring for the wounded, losing homes, excluded from decisions made by men. The atrocities, especially against women and children, are unbearable. This film is born from deep pain but also hope: to amplify the voices of women silenced by war, not just as victims but as powerful agents of peace and change.

Production Notes:

Since October 7, we’ve been moved by the strength of women facing war with courage and resilience. Their story inspired this feminist, international documentary. We’ve begun filming, with RTBF on board and ARTE in talks. Co-produced by Alma Films and supported by Doc Up Fund, we aim to follow three women over a year. With global reach and an impact campaign in development, we seek international funding to complete and deliver by late 2026.
