Synopsis:
What happens if we actually dare to let a stranger in? When we take an unknown path? What can happen if you embrace the unknown, and let yourself be seduced by the adventure? A dancer and a photographer knock on the door of a remote house.
“Hello? Anyone home?” Someone’s coming.
“I’d like to dance for you” Titta say’s.
“For me?”, the woman replies in surprise, while embracing the opportunity with open arms, thrilled to finally get some visitors.
Titta preforms, Jaakko captures it all on stills, while tears run down the woman’s cheeks.
“You danced me,” she says, shaking her head. “That was me, before my life was filled with pain”.

Director’s Notes:
I grew up with a Finnish mum and a Norwegian father, yelling out their window to foreigners “We have coffee and cinnamon rolls, come join us”. And people came. From all over the world. We were the most curious family I have ever met. We didn’t travel the world, the world travelled to us. And I always found it interesting. And here I am, trying to make a living from “payback-work”- to make our weird world visible in times of fear and hopelessness.
Production Notes:
The last conversations is a kind of road movie where we follow a dancer and a photographer who travel around Northern Norway, Sweden and Finland – for meetings and conversations with people they seek out and offer to dance for. A project about listening and creating dialogue.
DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Guro Saniola Bjerk is an awardwinning Norwegian-Finnish documentary film director. Guro has decided to stay up north, creating creative documentaries that capture life in the Arctic region from an insider’s perspective. Her work features a remarkable sense of humor, even when dealing with dark subjects.
CV PRODUCTION
Benedikte Bredesen has worked as a producer in f(x) productions AS since 2009. Her latest productions are the successful theatre- and TV release of the documentary Woolly (2024), House of Winge (2024), and she co-produced The Fight for Greenland with Copenhagen Film Company, which premiered in 2020.
