Brief Synopsis:
Voices of Humanity is an intimate documentary that offers a rare glimpse into the daily lives of three humanitarian aid workers. In Gaza, a psychosocial counsellor supports displaced civilians while living under siege. In Ukraine, an EU programme manager helps restore access to healthcare and education amid the chaos of war. In Uganda, an education officer works to bring hope and structure to Sudanese refugee children. Through their own personal struggles and acts of service, the film reveals the quiet heroism behind EU humanitarian aid, and the enduring power of human connection in times of crisis.
Director’s Notes:
With more than one hundred armed conflicts worldwide and millions of people in urgent need of aid, the European Union is committed to ensuring that lifesaving assistance continues – even in the most difficult circumstances. Behind every delivery of aid are workers carrying out their mission, engaging directly with people in need and often putting themselves at risk. Voices of Humanity is an exploration of the work and lives of humanitarians, a perspective seldom seen or explored.
